Persistent Systems is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer with a focus in Information Security to join our growing team.  As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be a critical member of the Persistent Program Team. The position will be based in one of our office locations (New York City headquarters, Ft Collins CO, Pinehurst NC), with a headquarters base as the preferred location.  This Cyber Security Engineer will possess strong core competencies in Project Management and Information Security in the US Defense and related industries to work closely with the Engineering team. Duties will span Information Security project management on assigned programs involving Wave Relay® MANET communications for customers ranging from Government, Intelligence Operations, or non-Government. Persistent Systems is looking for an experienced, multi-disciplined individual to serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Facilities & Site Manager who will be responsible for supervising, directing, and implementing security measures in accordance with 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable government security manuals in our Pinehurst, NC office.  Additionally, the individual selected for this position will have responsibility for managing facility related requirements as well as general management, COVID regulatory matters, and general compliance questions for the facility.  The individual must be self-driven and results oriented, capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently across a diverse program landscape. This role will play a critical role developing Wave Relay Product solutions with our DOD customers.  The Principal Hardware Engineer will identify customer needs through face to face interaction and play a critical role in developing the product solution.  This individual will operate out of our New York City headquarters and manage projects involving a variety of functions.    Position Responsibilities  - Managing, deriving, and capturing Product/Program requirements including mechanical and electrical interface design specifications, component requirements, and functional block diagrams - Supporting software and hardware testing - Supporting and facilitating engineering projects including new product/solution development, product changes, and customer integration - Supporting the change management process to ensure all required actions have been completed and that communication to key stakeholders is maintained - Ensuring quality documentation is updated/created as required, including technical manuals - Providing support and delivering solutions for rapid development projects - Modifying and updating requirements documents - Coordinating preparation of design drawings including updates - Supporting and facilitating project scheduling
