Job Description & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Management Intern with an interest in hardware and software product development to join our Program team for the summer of 2026. This internship will focus on the delivery and coordination of new products—including software—as well as removing roadblocks that hinder improvements to existing product lines. The Project Management Intern will support Wave Relay product solutions for our DoD customers. They will help identify risks and develop mitigation plans through direct interactions with teams and customers, playing a key role in shaping the overall product solution. 

 

This position will be based at our New York City headquarters and will involve managing projects across a variety of functions with both on-site and remote teams. 

 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Assist with maintaining schedule baselines, planning and tracking project activities, and capturing product/program requirements, including customer specifications, component requirements, and functional block diagrams 
  • Support Agile/Scrum workflows by organizing sprint boards, notes, and team updates
  • Support and facilitate engineering projects, including new product/solution development, product changes, and customer integrations
  • Support the change management process to ensure all required actions are completed and communication with key stakeholders is maintained 
  • Ensure quality project documentation, such as schedules, meeting summaries, and task lists
  • Provide support and deliver solutions for rapid development projects
  • Modify and update requirements documents
  • Support and facilitate project scheduling and risk management

Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Project management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field and have completed at least two years of the program 
  • Interest in product development, engineering processes, or project management 
  • Successfully completed at least one course in product / engineering design 
  • Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior Internship experience with Product Development  
  • Prior Internship experience with defense programs, evaluation and requirements capture 
  • Prior Internship experience Agile or Scrum methodologies through coursework or prior experience.  
  • Prior internship experience with software or hardware development lifecycles

The pay for this role will vary from $25 to $30 an hour based on the selected individual's experience.
