Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent Systems is seeking a Vice President of International Sales who will be responsible for strategically growing, scaling, and managing our international sales.  The Vice President of International Sales will develop short and long-term strategies to grow revenue and proliferate our Wave Relay MANET technology in commercial, industrial, unmanned systems, and government sectors around the world.  The Vice President of International Sales will create partnerships with foreign military customers and leverage those partnerships to create direct sales opportunities.  This role is dynamic and will manage and direct the international sales team accompanying their direct work with our customers in the international market.

Position Responsibilities 

  • Developing and executing strategy for growing the company’s global reseller organization
  • Identifying and capturing FMS opportunities in the global market
  • Managing, leading and mentoring the international sales team
  • Managing and monitoring reseller relationships including pipelines, programs, and forecasts
  • Providing a single point of contact for all aspects relating to the reseller network
  • Identify largest international markets for Wave Relay® equipment
  • Vetting and identifying prospective Wave Relay® reseller partners
  • Ensuring team-mentioned agreements and programs with Persistent Systems and individual resellers meet goals, requirements, and schedules of the overall company
  • Overseeing and planning annual reseller business and training meetings
  • Providing reseller strategies and projections to the Persistent Systems’ Business Development and Sales departments
  • Traveling to customer and business partner locations for programmatic meetings and events
  • Providing input to the Engineering department in terms of roadblocks to entry into international markets

Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field
  • 10 years’ experience supporting government projects for foreign entities
  • 10 years of foreign military sales experience focused on networking and communications systems
  • Experience with project planning (including creating and managing work breakdown schedules), project cost estimation, risk management, cost-benefits analyses, progress reporting, and identifying potential business partners
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must have a United States Security Clearance or be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration
  • 15 years’ progressive experience in international sales and sales management
  • 15 years’ experience in technical sales

 

The total compensation for this role can vary from $200,000 to $240,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligible for sales incentive compensation plan.
