  • Job Description & Responsibilities

    Persistent Systems is seeking a Inside Sales Manager who will work remote or in one of our three offices and be responsible for growing business and maintaining our existing customer relationships for our Department of Defense vertical. You will also be responsible for capturing business, managing high revenue accounts, and assisting with programmatic measures to ensure that customers receive the best products and services available for their requirements. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating and implementing strategies that will expand Persistent Systems’ customer base for the United States and Canada.  You will be paired with a Business Development Manager and will share their sales goal as a team of two.



    • Identifying potential new customers and developing customer relationships
    • Developing sales strategies and upselling propositions to meet sales goal of assigned Business Development Manager and DoD team sales goals
    • Collaborating with Sales and Engineering to identify new product opportunities
    • Developing and retaining existing customer relationships by presenting solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Managing key accounts after the initial sale
    • Creating business proposals, handling initial negotiations, and closing business deals as part of a team
    • Identifying industry and marketing events and trade shows that will provide opportunities to expand the company’s customer base
    • Organizing and traveling to trade shows to identify new business opportunities and strengthen current customer relationships
    • Conducting presentations for large groups of internal and external stakeholders

    Job Qualifications & Experience


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • At least 2 years of Sales/Business Development experience with commercial and/or Government customers
    • Experience in a sales role working with customers in the DoD industry
    • Experience working with sales teams
    • Demonstrated a basic knowledge of Networking and Radio Frequency (RF) technology.
    • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
    • Applicant must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance



    • Bachelor’s degree in Business a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development with a demonstrated track record of revenue growth
    • Demonstrated experience growing and maintaining the customer base for a United States Department of Defense (DoD) contractor
