Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will be the engineering lead for the company’s Production function. You will be responsible for making process improvements to the company’s final assembly processes for its line of products, ensuring the company continues to meet its productions goals through rapid growth periods.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as Engineering lead for cable assembly, unit assembly, and final quality control processes
  • Maintain and improve production output with a focus on lean manufacturing
  • Utilize value stream mapping to understand and minimize bottlenecks
  • Implement process improvements to increase capacity
  • Collaborate with quality to improve yield and capacity
  • Design, maintain, and identify process and test equipment for production

Job Qualifications & Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of direct management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methods and systems
  • Experience with hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Must have United States security clearance or the ability to obtain United States security clearance

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards
  • Software programming experience
