Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent Systems is looking for a highly-driven Quality Engineer to provide quality leadership and support across the entire company. You will be responsible for initiating, prioritizing, and executing projects to improve safety, quality, cost, and capacity.



  • Processing engineering change notices (ECN) and enforcing standards/requirements related to ECN and document control
  • Scheduling and leading weekly ECN review meetings and publishing weekly ECN status reports
  • Driving consistency in the company’s data and document management processes
  • Identifying and implementing process efficiencies and driving process improvements
  • Analyzing quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective action
  • Acting as a liaison between Operations and Engineering
  • Defining and tracking KPIs to measure and control quality in the production process and ensure processes meet the company’s QMS goals
  • Tracking progress of Engineering Development programs, ensuring all required actions are tracked via ECN
  • Performing ECN System Maintenance, ensuring default tasks meet change type requirements
  • Ensuring project work is completed to DMAIC, (Green Belt – Six Sigma) standard, follows change management process, and is completed on-time and in-budget
  • Developing, evaluating, improving, and documenting assembly processes
  • Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into assembly environments
  • Providing engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Administering company-wide change management process, including providing training and leading projects
  • Working with Supply Chain to ensure quality of raw materials, components and sub-assemblies meets quality standards
  • Monitoring feedback from customers to identify quality concerns and resolve issues

Job Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related
  • 3+ years in an Engineering leadership role in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certified
  • Previous work experience with ISO 9001 certification
  • Must have a United States security clearance or be able to obtain United States security clearance



  • Experience working for DoD or government contractors
