Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent Systems is looking for a Production Manager at our New York City headquarters. You will be responsible for organizing, planning, and leading the manufacturing team who are responsible for final assembly our industry-leading Wave Relay® products. You will work closely with the Quality Manager to maintain and implement the ISO 9001 standard and assist Engineering in designing manufacturable products. You will report to the Operations Manager.



  • Managing a team of Assembly Technicians which includes, but is not limited to, tracking employee schedules, monitoring employee performance, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching
  • Working directly with Supply Chain to plan weekly builds for inventory, ordering, and prototyping
  • Developing capacity models of production, including flex and expansion
  • Monitoring production processes and developing improvement plans
  • Tracking and organizing employee training and certification
  • Working with Engineering to develop the manufacturability of new products
  • Ensuring ISO 9001 standards are implemented and maintained per quality policy and Quality manager

Job Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of direct management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methods and systems
  • Experience with hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting



  • Experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards
